Safety and Training
DM Civil is certified to AS/NZS 4801:2001. A healthy attitude to safety programmes has been one of the hallmarks of DM Civil for many years. The company intends to maintain and increase the momentum of this vitally important aspect of our operation.

DM Civil has always monitored our safety performance. DM Civil's lost-time injury frequency rate is almost half the industry average.

We are always active in researching and implementing ways to improve safety awareness and performance.  One such method was the introduction of our Safety Incentive Scheme, a company-wide drive to reward all employees for achieving safety targets.

All DM Civil employees are provided relevant training to ensure they are competent in their field.  Ongoing training is provided “in house” by senior, experienced personnel as well as accredited training organisations.

Environmental
DM Civil is certified to AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004.  Our success in environmental management has been recognised over the years by being awarded with The Institute of Engineers Australia Management of Engineering Award, as well as multiple National and State Case Earth Awards.

Environmental issues and awareness will always be a key factor to consider in every project undertaken by DM Civil. 

Management continue to be very conscious of environmental needs by:

• Ensuring sustainable and efficient use of materials and resources;
• Reducing waste and recycling;
• Providing ongoing training to employees;
• Encouraging all employees to seek opportunities to go beyond compliance; and
• Communicating environmental issues through monthly newsletters, toolbox meetings etc.
